Event Revenue Partners vs Collaborators on Streets

Learn how revenue partners differ from collaborators, how revenue is shared, and how co-presenters appear on your event page.

Event revenue partners are co-hosts who share ticket revenue with you. Unlike collaborators, partners are business relationships with defined revenue splits - not just team permissions. When partners accept, they appear as co-presenters on your public event page.

Partners vs Collaborators

Collaborators help you operate an event (scanning, coat check, messaging) and may appear in "The Line Up" with a role. Revenue partners co-host the event, split revenue, and appear under "Presented by" on the event page and checkout success flow.

Adding Revenue Partners

  1. Go to Settings > My Events
  2. Tap on the event you want to co-host
  3. Navigate to Step 5: Extras
  4. Tap Revenue Partners
  5. Search for another verified Streets curator
  6. Set their revenue percentage and send the invitation

Partner Acceptance & Activation

When you invite a partner, they receive a push notification and must accept the invitation in the Streets app. Until all invited partners accept:

  • The partnership stays in a pending state
  • Paid tickets cannot go live on the public event page
  • Partners can accept or decline the invitation

Once every partner has accepted, the partnership becomes active and you can publish paid tickets. After the first paid order, the revenue split is locked for that event.

Revenue Split Rules

Partner percentages must total 100% or less - the remainder goes to you as the event owner. Each partner must be a verified curator with Stripe connected and charges enabled. You cannot add yourself as a partner.

How Partners Appear Publicly

Accepted partners are shown alongside you on the event page:

  • Presented by - Your profile and partner profiles appear together with overlapping avatars and linked names
  • SMS opt-in - Attendees can opt in to updates from all organizers during checkout
  • Checkout success - After purchase, attendees can choose to follow you and each partner individually

Collaborators with visibility enabled still appear separately in "The Line Up" section. Partners and collaborators serve different purposes and can coexist on the same event.

When to Use Partners vs Collaborators

Use Revenue Partners When...

  • You are co-hosting an event with another curator or collective
  • You want to split ticket revenue automatically on each sale
  • You want both brands promoted equally as co-presenters
  • You need financial visibility and reporting shared with a business partner

Use Collaborators When...

  • You need door staff, security, or coat check help
  • You want to showcase performers or hosts in the lineup
  • You need someone to scan tickets or send messages - without sharing revenue
  • You want to add external guests who do not have a Streets account

See our Managing Collaborators guide for operational team permissions.

Managing Partners

Editing Revenue Splits

You can update partner percentages before any paid orders are placed and before the partnership is locked. Changing partners resets all invitations to pending and requires re-acceptance.

Removing a Partner

  1. Navigate to your event's Revenue Partners section
  2. Tap the partner you want to remove
  3. Confirm removal

If other partners remain, the partnership returns to pending until everyone re-accepts. After the first paid order, partner changes are no longer allowed.

Best Practices

  • Agree on splits upfront - Confirm percentages with partners before sending invitations.
  • Invite early - Partners must accept before paid tickets can go live.
  • Use collaborators for ops - Door staff and performers do not need revenue partner status unless they share ticket income.
  • Communicate branding - Co-presenter profiles represent both brands; make sure partner bios and photos are current.
